Introduction of the speaker:

Shelly SUN is the Principal Solicitor in Sunsolis Legal and a Registered Legal Practitioner with Department of Home Affairs. Since her admission, Shelly has practised in various areas of laws in a boutique firm in Sydney CBD, with a specialisation in property and Australian migration laws, before establishing her practice on lower north shore. 

Over the past 10 years, she has successfully assisted over 200 clients and families to come to Australia on different types of visas, including but not limited to tourist visas, student visas, work visas, spouse visas, parent visas and business/investor visas. Her expertise comes with her passion for assisting clients in achieving their migration goals within the complex migration regime. She has a keen eye for detail and is always willing to take up the challenge in finding the most appropriate visa pathway for clients from different ethnic or career background. Apart from her migration work, Shelly has also been a major conveyancing solicitor for the purchasers of various renown off-the-plan projects delivered by the most prestigious developers in Australia, e.g., Lend Lease, Mirvac, Frasers, Meriton, etc. In particular, her team has completed over 600 settlements for buyers in the Victoria Harbour project of Lendlease and assisted over 50 clients in the purchase of the Barangaroo project with an aggregated purchase price of over 200 million.

In recent years, Shelly has appeared frequently in various criminal matters, including but not limited to intimidation and assault in domestic settings and AVO, sexual assault, larceny and robbery, traffic matters, drug matters and possession of prohibited weapons, etc. She also has experienced dealing with investigation and complaints by Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) against the Chinese Medicine Practitioners and acupuncturists. Shelly has successfully assisted her clients to obtain the best outcome possible and to get back to their normal life. Apart from the above, Shelly also advises on family laws, commercial and company law matters. She strives to provide a wholistic strategy to her clients in achieving a balanced outcome and avoiding massive legal bills. Shelly is good at communication with clients, especially clients with a Chinese background. She is a native speaker of both Cantonese and Mandarin and is culturally familiarised with the Chinese norms as she was brought up in Macau and Canton.
