Clinical Insights on Treating Insomnia with Classical Prescriptions

Introduction of the speaker:
Professor Wan Xiaogang graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2001 with a PhD in Chinese medicine. He is currently a professor at the teaching and research division Department of Shang Han in Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and the Department of Endocrinology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.
He successively studied under the famous contemporary Chinese medicine experts Mei Guoqiang, Xiong Manqi, Sun Tongjiao, and Jiang Erxun, emphasizing the "three differentiations" of clinical syndromes - firstly identifying the nature of the disease, secondly identifying the disease location, and then identifying the pathological relationship. He likes to use the six meridians for syndrome differentiation, the formula is concise and stable, and the comprehensive application of Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment methods is emphasized, and the clinical effect is effective. He is good at diagnosing and treating endocrine system diseases, as well as Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular system diseases, digestive system diseases and intractable diseases.
He has presided over and participated in more than 20 research projects, and has awarded the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the National Ministry of Education, the State Administration of Chinese Medicine, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education Outstanding Multimedia Courseware Award and the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Teaching Achievement Award.
Based on 40 years of teaching and clinical insights, he has written books "Reading Shang Han " and "Reading Jinkui yaolue " with more than one million words, and edited and published the CD-ROM version of "Clinical Application of Classical Prescriptions". He has published nearly 100 articles, edited and participated in the editing of 38 academic works and national textbooks. For a long time, he has served as the lecturer of Shang Han teaching for undergraduates and the teaching, clinical and experimental guidance of postgraduates. In the field of Chinese medicine remote learning, after years of hard work, a clinical network teaching system for the theory of Shang Han and Classical Prescriptions has been established, which has laid a foundation for the further popularization and application of classic theories.
