Speaker Introduction

Dr. Zhan Biao FAN

Dr. Fan graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He holds a Bachelor and Doctorate degrees. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Macquarie University in Sydney. He has many years of experience working as a Chinese Medicine practitioner and Acupuncturist in Australia. He has fully understand how the Chinese Medicine clinic operation is and the latest requirements from CMBA and the Private Health Fund industries. The Smart TCM software designed by him aim to help to manage the treatment records and related billing information complies the requirements of the "Patient Records Guidelines" of the CMBA. The software has been used by many clinics nationwide in Australian, and worldwide to the United States, Canada and New Zealand.

Dr.  Xuming GU

Dr Gu graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.  He has been practising Chinese medicine since. He completed his postgraduate study with a PhD in RMIT University where he currently engages with teaching and research in Chinese medicine.  He has joined FCMA and currently in a position of Executive Officer of FCMA. Dr Gu recently organised drafting the two important applications for Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture for the legitimate rights and interests of the Chinese medicine profession.  His presentation topic is “Report on application for access to processed Aconitum carmichaelii Debx. lateral root (Zhi Fu Zi) 2020 and inclusion of registered acupuncturists into MBS 2021”.

Dr. Anyang MA

Dr Ma is the founding member and managing director of Beijing Tong Ren Tang Australia Pty Ltd. He is the president of Chinese Medicine Industry Council of Australia Ltd (CMIC). As a member of Australian Mirror Committee (HE031) of the Chinese Medicine Standardization Committee of the International Organization of Standardization (ISO/TC249), he is also the reference group member of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA). In addition, he is the external advisory committee member of TCM program of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Western Sydney University (WSU).

Dr. Kevin Chang

Dr. Chang graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He holds a Bachelor and Doctoral degrees. He was former director of study of Sydney Institute of TCM(SITCM), and guest lecturer of Master course (Master of Herbal Medicine) of The University of Sydney. He is executive council member of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), president of NSW association of Chinese Medicine, visiting professor and advisor of PHD student of Fujian University of TCM, and guest lecturer of Master and Bachelor courses of Chinese Medicine of Western Sydney University(WSU).
